Subject: [BUG] Kernel Bugs Weekly (maybe bi-weekly)

This is the listing of open bugs that are not new time wise, mostly
over a month old, which is a long time for current rate of
development.
Most bugs need initial response, and all need attention (tlc).
It would be appreciated if the corresponding maintenance team could
take a look at the bugs, close off any which are fixed and see if they
can fix any which aren't.

It would be best to make a note to the reporter and others who are
searching for answers in bugzillas that bug is being worked on. (After
all, bugzilla is not just a tracking tool, it is a knowledge base for
many grateful users.) It is also encouraged setting status to
"assigned" in those bugs that are "taken".

Thanks.

I'm not sure this one's a bug ... but it would depend on the chip
specifics. The Intel HDA is designed to have separately controllable
line out and external features. I like this and consider it to be a
nice feature. However, it's not impossible that the Vaio is wired up
differently from my fujitsu, which also has a slightly different rev of
the controller:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6
Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)

However (modulo severe problems with pulseaudio) it works just fine for
me (separate sliders for line out and speakers) with 2.6.23.8 on a
Fujitsu 7120P LifeBook.

Not quite sure what the point of putting it in an email he hasn't seen
is either.

Adding Ben as a CC.
