Subject: request Video editor program: ( out of topic, but please help.)

I am looking for some program can edit and add effect to .avi, .mpg..etc
files, I tried to compile boardcast 2000c, but it's not work ( maybe
missing some file in the release)
anyway , please help me if you can, Thanks
