Subject: Finding Aki M Laukkanen?

Hi Guys,

I have found the old mailing list archives for the vesafbd project I was
interested in, but I can't seem to get in touch with the original author
and the web pages are all gone. The guys name was Aki M Laukkanen and he
was at the University of Helsinki through most of 2000 (and active within
the Linux kernel community during that time). If anyone knows him or his
current email address, please drop him a line for me and tell him to
email me so we can get in touch.

Thanks!

I had same trable. But my box is the PC9800 architecture.
Please test my patch attached. This may be OK for standard PC too.

It appears some drivers are registering empty device slots. Thats
harmless with the old code, and not allowed with the new. I'm still
investigating

I was informed by someone on this list that apparantly Aki died in late
2000 or so (about the time his postings on this list ceased). That is
just terrible.

My question now is, would anyone know what happened to the projects he
was working on? Did anyone on this list ever download his 'vesafbd'
kernel patch and source code at some point, and might have it archived
somewhere? I would very much like to revive the project he was working
on.
