Note: i don't know about the XT_?* messages right before the "Bug at..".
seconds before i mounted a created a reiserfs on this partition, mounted
it, unmounted it. the i created the JFS, the bug msg appeared at the
mount attempt. but the XT_* msg are like to be some product of JFS,
because of the timestamp in my logs (but you'll know better anyway).
Thanks,
Christian.

Hi,
while doing some benchmarks, i noticed a segfault when trying to mount a
newly created JFS. mkfs.jfs passes, but mount gives:

kernel BUG at jfs_dmap.c:776!

this is with vanilla 2.4.21 (Alpha), compiled with gcc3.3, glibc 2.3.1,
util-linux 2.11z.
thanks,
Christian.
JFS is broken when the page size is greater than 4K, as is the case for
Alpha. This needs to be fixed, but I've put it off since I haven't had
ready access to the right hardware, and I haven't had any success
trying to boot a i386 kernel with a larger page size. I'll try to find
the time to work on this within the next couple weeks.
Thanks,
Shaggy

Christian.
