From: Liang Chen <[email protected]>
Changes in v4:
Remove some assigned-clocks as they should be inited in their
respective device nodes.
Changes in v3:
Adjust some descriptions in dtsi.
Changes in v2:
Remove RK_FUNC_* in dtsi as it dose not help understand things better.
Adjust the order of description in dt-bindings.
v1:
These patchs depend on pinctrl patchs as below:

just for planning purposes, do you plan on picking this up or do you
want me to queue it with the rest of the changes (Ack needed).

Why didn't you renumber the patches? I and probably others wondered
where and what patch 2 is and why it could be missing. I recall now that
I applied it already. Other maintainers don't have that knowledge. Also,
since I applied your patch, no need for me or the i2c-list to be on CC.
Please no "quick fixes" when sending out patch series. I know it is
tempting but it usually creates confusion.

I'm pretty sure this isn't correct as sdmmc1_bus1 even doesn't contain
one same pinctrl(data0) as sdmmc1_bus4. So, the first two pins should be
"1 RK_PB6" and "1 RK_PB7".....

Applied to the togreg branch of iio.git. Makes more sense that
way as we might get some other changes around that file and it
doesn't make any difference to the rest of the series.
Will probably start it's way upstream this afternoon if I get
through the rest of my backlog.
Thanks,

applied for 4.12 after rewording the subject and adding a real commit
message.
Please do not leave the actual commit message empty in future patches.
Thanks

applied for 4.12, with the following list of changes:
- reorder some properties to bring them in alphabetical order
- dropped the status-disabled from the power-controller
power-domain control is a quite essential part of the system, so if
boards really want to disable them, they should do it in their board file
Having power-domains on all the time, is also our default in all other
devicetrees.
- removed #dma-cells from spi0 -> this is not a dma controller
- reword the cru assigned-clocks comment a bit
- fixed sdmmc1_bus4 pins, as indicated by Shawn and after looking up the
correct pins in the manual
And a final question, are you sure about SCLK_PDM becoming a child of the
APLL in your cru assigned-clocks, as the APLL will vary later on with cpufreq
active?

applied after moving the entry above the rk3399-evb.

applied for 4.12

the NPLL will vary later on with cpufreq active.
The NPLL is better than APLL, so NPLL is for clk_core,and apll is for pdm.
please see the TRM in CRU:
1.4 Function Description
/........./
To maximize the flexibility, some of clocks can select divider source
from 5 PLLs. (Note: It?s
recommended to use NEW PLL instead of ARM PLL as arm clock source,
because NEW PLL is
near to ARM. And it?s jitter is better than ARM PLL).

Thanks for the clarification - this way it definitly makes sense.
Thanks
