As Greg already suggested please move this kind of functional change
into a separate patch. One goal is to have a single patch which almost
replaces vchiq_log_* with dev_*

While rewriting the patch, I realized it might be easier and less
error-prone to remove some global variables before tackling the logging
functions. So, I will submit a new series for this first, and after that
I'll send a v3 for the logging functions.
