Subject: kernel 2.6 install problems


hello!

I am new here i hope i am in the right place for help.

i am trying to install kernel 2.6.1 on Linux red hat for running VLS.


first can some one tell me where to find updated doc's on compiling kernel 2.6

after the i finished compiling i run lsmod but no modules are listed

also the network is not working and the screen is only 800X600

you will need to update some userspace packages (eg modutils to support
2.6 etc etc)
