multi-line comment block format is not correct. It should be

> + * Read ADC channel waiting at most 400ms (see data sheet for further
> + * info).
> + * To avoid long busy wait we spin for few milliseconds then
> + * start sleeping.

please change it to other places in driver also.

On "exit" you are returning value of "err" which is zero as per first
exit above. You should
first set "err" to relevant error flag and then exit.

You can use "type" field in i2c_board_info structure to pass the
client's name. As this name is being copied to client->name by
i2c_new_device, and it could be useful in future to different next
version of the very much similar chips using this field.

"else" should be with closing "}" bracket not after that.

Did you ever read my review of your driver?
http://lists.lm-sensors.org/pipermail/i2c/2007-February/000824.html

I'm asking because you never replied and I don't see any of my
suggestions implemented in this new version of your driver.

You can now omit "I2C", it's handled at menu level.

A call to "i2c_set_clientdata(client, NULL)" at this point would be
welcome.

No! I missed it!

I'm very sorry for that... :'(

Let me fix your suggestions and I send again my patch.

Please, note that I left LUX calculation untouched since on my data
sheet I have only such cumputation example. :(

Hope it could be ok anyway...

Ciao,

Rodolfo

Datasheets typically give you one way to process the data, that doesn't
mean this is the only way, nor the best in all situations. My proposal
was mathematically equivalent to your datasheet-based implementation,
and had a lower memory footprint.

Anyway, your way works too, so it's OK. I'll take your patch as is,
optimizations can always be applied later. I wish I could give a try to
your driver, but unfortunately I still didn't manage to get my TAOS
evaluation module to work under Linux :(
