It is useful only for kernel testers.

BTW here is new version:

Unless someone really cares about it, post-halloween-doc could be dropped.
It's way out of date in parts, and I don't think anyone really reads it.
It made a lot more sense when people were putting 2.6 kernels on
distros with old userspace.

I've been slack with this, and as it wasn't urgent, I've queued it
for 2.6.17

They do all depend on acx1xx-wireless-driver.patch.

They do all depend on DLM which is only in -mm.

>...
> drivers-net-wireless-tiacx-add-missing-include-linux-vmallocha.patch

Depends on acx1xx-wireless-driver.patch.

> export-file_ra_state_init-again.patch

This is currently not even used in -mm - it should be dropped since
recreating this patch is trivial.

> fbdev-update-framebuffer-feature-list.patch
> firestream-warnings.patch
> fs-asfs-make-code-static.patch

Depends on asfs-filesystem-driver.patch.

>...
> remove-checkconfigpl.patch

This patch is broken - the purpose of this patch was to remove
checkconfig.pl, but it seems the part to remove checkconfig.pl was lost
somewhere through Andrew's scripts.

> slab-cache-shrinker-statistics-fix.patch

Bug fix that should go into 2.6.16 - but a static inline in slab.h would
be the better solution.

> tiacx-usb_driver-build-fix.patch

Depends on acx1xx-wireless-driver.patch.

Forgotten, I think. This one showed no problems for me until now.

The ACPI guys don't like machine-specific drivers like this, apparently -
features are supposed to be controlled via the machine's BIOS ACPI methods.

But given the state of Sony ACPI documentaion (ie: none) that might not
work out. I'll ask about it.

If they come up with a better implementation, I would be glad to
assist testing.
