V3:
- Expands description of ports to clarify mapping of port to CSIPHY
Rob

- Adds the dependency link into the commit log of patch #3 - bod

Link next:
https://git.codelinaro.org/bryan.odonoghue/kernel/-/tree/linux-next-23-10-10-sc8280xp-camss-v3

V2:
- Drops specific sc8280xp-cci compat - Konrad
- Drops minItems where maxItems are equal - Krzysztof
- Uses suggested description for CAMSS - Krzysztof
- Leaves indentation of ports/properties - Rob
- NoISP. Supports bayer encoded upstream currently only - Krzysztof
- Endpoint. Adds an example endpoint - Krzysztof

V1:
The sc8280xp provides a standard Camera Control Interface and Camera
SubSystem hardware interface similar to antecedent parts sdm845 and
sm8250.

Per the target segments for this part, sc8280xp has more of everything.
More CCI, VFE, CSIPHY and therefore more interrupt lines and clocks to
declare.

CCI x 4
CSIPHY x 4
VFE x 4
VFE Lite x 4
CSID x 4

Subject: [PATCH v4 2/4] arm64: dts: qcom: sc8280xp: camss: Add CCI definitions

sc8280xp has four Camera Control Interface (CCI) blocks which pinout to
two I2C master controllers for each CCI.

The CCI I2C pins are not muxed so we define them in the dtsi.

My bot found errors running 'make DT_CHECKER_FLAGS=-m dt_binding_check'
on your patch (DT_CHECKER_FLAGS is new in v5.13):

yamllint warnings/errors:

doc reference errors (make refcheckdocs):

See https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/project/devicetree-bindings/patch/[email protected]

The base for the series is generally the latest rc1. A different dependency
should be noted in *this* patch.

If you already ran 'make dt_binding_check' and didn't see the above
error(s), then make sure 'yamllint' is installed and dt-schema is up to
date:

pip3 install dtschema --upgrade

Please check and re-submit after running the above command yourself. Note
that DT_SCHEMA_FILES can be set to your schema file to speed up checking
your schema. However, it must be unset to test all examples with your schema.

You don't need 2 'media' in the subject.

Who is supposed to apply the above and this patch? Normally, this would
go thru the media tree, but you didn't send it to them or the media
list. You did Cc the clock maintainers which seems weird on its own, but
I suppose based on the bot error that's because the above patch is a
clock patch. But why would the clock maintainers care about this one. I
can only guess your intent is for all of this to be merged thru the QCom
tree. We shouldn't have to sort thru these series and guess though. You
should state that unless you really don't know, but I'd expect you've
been around long enough to know.

Ah you're right.

I've reused the list of recipients for the camcc series and missed Hans
from linux-media.

Just a note for Bjorn, this series is likely on hold as we iron out the
driver details.. e.g. _src clocks were dropped since this submission.

Eh yes.

Let me take the opportunity to plug the series/patches I'm targeting
that Bjorn can merge

The CAMCC controller

The first patch here
