Hi Peter,
If not too late, could you change trace to only trig error trace when
error is not "probe defered" ? See below:

- if (!chan) {
- dev_info(&pdev->dev, "Unable to request DMA channel, defer probing\n");
- return -EPROBE_DEFER;
