I've just pushed this patch into my linux-2.4-vanilla
bitkeeper tree, which is available from:

bk://linuxvm.bkbits.net/linux-2.4-vanilla/

Of course the changes are also browsable online, just
point your browser to the url using http ;)

The fix to drivers/sound/dmasound/tas3001c.c, to export
tumbler_enter_sleep and tumbler_leave_sleep, is still not included.
Could we have that one in before 2.4.18 final is released, please?
Otherwise compiling a kernel for a powermac will fail.

Regards,
Paul.

Hi Marcelo,

as discussed in the thread of your 2.4.18-rc1 announcement (see [1] and
[2]) 2.4.18 adds CONFIG_FB_TRIDENT but the code doesn't compile. It's
IMHO not a good a idea to add a new option that doesn't compile to a
stable kernel. Please apply the patch below that disables this option as a
workaround to 2.4.18:

No -- it's already marked with CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL.

Thus if you are compiling this software, you do so at your own risk...

Then remove the:

Later, Juan.
