Subject: Oops with 2.4.16

Hi all,

I get this oops executing the configure script from the wget package. I
can reproduce it always, and normally after the first oops, i get a lot
more and the computer gets unusable. The script part when i get this
oops is when is checking the 'strncasecmp' library function.

Below is the oops decoded. Tell me if you need more info.

Hi David :)

I have the very same kernel and I've configured the very same
'wget' without problems. Try to deactivate swap and see whether that
solves the problem.
