Subject: [PATCH v7] ASoC: tas2781: Add tas2781 driver

Create tas2781 driver.

Signed-off-by: Shenghao Ding <[email protected]>

---
Changes in v7:
- remove unneeded blank lines
- tasdevice_parse_dt as void
- In tasdevice_i2c_probe, return -ENOMEM directly if kzalloc failed,
and remove " && tas_dev" after the "out" label
- in tas2781_set_global_mode, removed unneeded inits
- Add some comments on the use cases for global broadcast mode
- remove unneeded break
- add comments on firmware loading error
| Reported-by: kernel test robot <[email protected]>
| Link: https://lore.kernel.org/oe-kbuild-all/[email protected]/
- rewrite check_inblock_yram and check_inpage_yram
- Add comment on calibrated data load twice if it failed during bootup.
- switch kcalloc to kzalloc, for one element memory alloc.
- rewrite tasdevice_select_cfg_blk for better indentation
- add an output paramin tasdevice_add_config to save the error
- Add comment on why create the kcontrol via devm_kzalloc

Hi,

their are still some comments with some missing spaces after /* or before */

Some of "./scripts/checkpatch.pl -f --strict" suggestions make sense.
("Unnecessary parentheses around...", "Avoid CamelCase", " No space is
necessary after a cast")
Maybe some other ones as well, but do not blindly apply all the
suggestions :)

Below mostly some style comments that should, IMHO, ease others review.
Up to you to take them or not.

1 LoC can be saved here. It would also be more consistent with same
pattern below.

check_inpage_yram_bk1() and check_inpage_yram_bk2() look very close.
Does it make sence to have only 1 fct and have the PAGE, START_REG and
END_REG given as parameters?

Just based on name: Could'nt do_singlereg_checksum() be simplified and
call do_multireg_checksum()?

This sequence is used several times. Does it make sense to turn it into

Does it make sense to use a flexible array for blk_data?
This would safe an allocation below and slighly simplify code.

Or maybe even allocating all "blk_data[i]" all at once and avoid
indirection? (I have no idea how big it can be...)

The int cast is not consitent with the below (see "...here").
The cast should ne consistent, or maybe "config_offset" should be
unsigned int as well?

If "cfg_info->blk_data[i]" was kept in a var with a smaller name, the
code below would be more readable, IMHO.

Does it makes sense to have a "val = tas2781_clamp(val, max, invert)" to
avoid code duplication here and in the functions below?

Keep these 2 lines on the line.

This looks like a write. Should it be <= to match other write function
with broadcast mode? (just a guess)
