Hmm.. No clear pattern here, mostly random fixes, along with some file
movement in the Documentation/ subdirectory. Bulk-wise, that's the biggest
part if you see it as a traditional diff (because of the delete/create
pairs), but with rename detection on the Doc patches are only about 10% of
the changes.
The rest tends to be the ppc def_config updates (15%), and then random
driver updates (65% - mostly due to some new hwmon and rtc drivers and the
c2port driver).
But in number of commits, most of them are really just random small
changes all over. ACPI, DM, USB, V4L, ocfs.. Nothing really strikes me as
standing out, but if I had to pick something, then the ACPI update in
particular hopefully fixes a few regressions. Along with disabling
tick_nohz_kick_tick.

Linus,
unforutnately, lkml seems to have eaten my PCMCIA pull query for -rc4 -- at
least no lkml archive seems to have picked it up, while the linux-pcmcia one
did:
http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-pcmcia/2008-November/006008.html
Anyways, a few PCMCIA bugfixes are available at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/brodo/pcmcia-2.6.git master
The diffstat and list of changes follows, the individual diffs were sent (at
least) to the linux-pcmcia list.
Thanks,
Dominik

That would be:
commit 0794469da3f7b2093575cbdfc1108308dd3641ce
Author: Kay Sievers <[email protected]>
Date: Thu Oct 30 01:18:59 2008 +0100
ACPI: struct device - replace bus_id with dev_name(), dev_set_name()

It's commit 0794469da3f7b2093575cbdfc1108308dd3641ce: "ACPI: struct device
- replace bus_id with dev_name(), dev_set_name()", and yes, it seems
totally buggy. It replaced a test for "dev->bus" with "dev_name(dev)",
which makes no sense.

Does this smaller patch just make it go away?
That said, that whole function looks potentially buggy. Len - why is it
safe to do "list_for_each_safe()" when you drop the acpi_device_lock in
the middle? The "next" pointer that we look up may go away while the lock
is dropped, I think.

Looks like the reason I couldn't find it was old cache on
git.kernel.org or something like that as the matching commit
now shows up.

Yes, that smaller patch fixes it as well
