We are porting Linux for NEC PC-9800 architecture
since 2.1.57, and continue testing and updating.
Formaly, PC-9800 was most popular machine in japan.
Many peoples love it (like us), and many students use
it in school yet.
We hope our patches into the kernel.
Check and advice please.
Sorry for bad English, because I'm not native writer.
we put patch URL below so too big for mail.

about PC-9800 archtecture, please see

Splitting one patch into small patchsets is good idea for me, like
each driver parts and mach-pc9800 depending part, arch/i386 generic
part...
In addition some place seems to need cleanup, for example ide.c,
3c569b/at1000 (is it difficult to merge with 3c509.c/at1700?), etc.

Thanks for your advice.

I'll try to split patch and resend within a week.

Indeed, 3c569b into 3c509.c and at1000 into at1700 are probably okey.
But, I think ide.c patch is very simple.
So, no-need to cleanup, isn't it?

Good news :-)

Oh well, it's unnecessary to modify for ide.c, it's my misdescription.
