Is there a particular reason Daniel couldn't mail this himself? It's a
little odd for you to be submitting something like this.

Yeah, that'd have been preferable. I think the "general case" when From:
in the body is used is during patchset submissions, where the correctly
attributed mail was already sent to a list. Sending it "out of the blue"
with From: I personally feel is a little suspect. Since you've
documented it here, I'll just apply it to save a roundtrip though.

I'm a bit overloaded on tasks so I asked Carlo to take this off my
back. There's probably some more correct way that this could be done,
such as adding Carlo's sign-off after mine?
