Subject: [Bluez-devel] hcitool scan while hidd connection..

I just upgraded to using 2.15 utils and libs on my system.

Now when I have a hidd connection I can no longer do an hcitool scan.

I was able to with an older version. If I kill the hidd connection I
am then able to scan again.

Is this intended behavior?

Marcel,

Thanks!!! I enabled rswitch and all is well.

My module is connected to a UART device.

Thanks again,

Michael

please call "hciconfig hci0 revision" as root. Where is this module
connected to? Any reason to not enable all packet types and allow role
switch?

this is weird. What does "hciconfig -a" tells you about your dongle?

install the latest hcidump, because I need the verbose decoding of the
HCI commands and events.

Marcel,

Here is the dump when trying to scan while a dvice is connected.

root@(none):~# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
< HCI Command: Inquiry (0x01|0x0001) plen 5
0000: 33 8b 9e 08 64 3...d

> HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4
0000: 00 08 00 00 ....

Does this give you any clue?

I don't think so, because this is a chip feature and not a BlueZ
feature. What does "hcidump -X -V" says when you try to scan?
