Subject: [Bluez-devel] SBC Decoder code

Marcel,

I just wanted to find out whether the SBC Decoder code
available on the Sourceforge site is tested or not.

This is because I was using it to decode an SBC file
and playing the pcm samples thus obtained on the
/dev/audio file, but the output was very poor.

Mayank,

It sounds like you are working on a commercial product and can't show us
what you're working on.

I suggest you either try to produce code that is a very simple test case
that you could let everyone look at or talk to developers off-list about
contracting them for professional services. Henryk is most comfortable
with the sbc code.

There are a lot of variations of healthy relationships between
commercial and open-source groups and benefits to both sides. Everyone
would benefit from fixes to libsbc for example.

the SBC decoder is working fine. However most times we used the encoder
by now. Feel free to improve it. Patches are always welcome.

Regards

Marcel
