Subject: [Bluez-devel] PS3Remote patches

Hi! I'tried the patches on last cvs checkout and compiled libs and utils,
but after restarting bluetooth services and pressing the remote buttons
nothing happens.
The remote is paired and works with some python script from
http://tinyurl.com/36kfdz (Thanks Jonas Borgstrom).
In /proc/bus/input/devices i have:
I: Bus=0005 Vendor=054c Product=0306 Version=0100
N: Name="Sony Computer Entertainment Inc BD Remote Control"
P: Phys=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
S: Sysfs=/class/input/input6
U: Uniq=YY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY
H: Handlers=event6
B: EV=1
I tried also cat /dev/input/event6 but nothing happens.

Can someone help me understand it? Am I missing something?
Thanks.

let's see:
# ps ax|grep hcid
4704 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/hcid -x -s
5323 pts/1 R+ 0:00 grep hcid
it seems is running.
Right after I compiled the utils I restarted bluetooth service and had no
errors.
But now I tried to first stop it:
# /etc/init.d/bluetooth stop
Stopping bluetooth: rfcomm hid_devicesSwitching device 0a12:0001 to HID mode
failed (Broken pipe)
hidd hcid.
then tried to start:
# /etc/init.d/bluetooth start
Starting bluetooth: hcid hidd hid_devicesNo devices in HCI mode found
rfcomm.

I think I broke something...

check if bluetoothd-service-input/hcid are running, they may be the old copy.
also, by default it'll be installed in /usr/local/...
Is uinput module loaded? is there anything on logs perhaps?

Yes. All of them, i've checked the file in utils/input and assure that the
file bluetoothd-service-input just compiled is in /usr/lib/bluetooth/
Is there anything else I can check?

are you sure you applied the patches I've submitted to the list?
the device name doesn't matches the one set on the uinput device.
