# hidd -n --server
hidd[32412]: Bluetooth HID daemon
hidd[32412]: Rejected connection from unknown device 00:12:EE:07:95:48
(same result running as non-root user)

Remote device is a Sony Ericsson K750i, using inbuilt HID controller. Phone
is paired with the computer, file transfer (using kdebluetooth or obexftp)
and rfcomm devices both work.

This used to work with bluez-2.25, current (non-working) version is 3.7.
Installed from ebuilds out of liquidx's overlay, on gentoo/amd64 2006.1
(http://overlays.gentoo.org/dev/liquidx/browser/net-wireless).

Does hidd have a configuration file that isn't documented anywhere?

Thanks for that. Removed my phone from the linkkeys file, connected
with 'hidd --connect 00:12:EE:07:95:48', re-paired and all was well.
Discovered my phone even asks if you want to open the remote control app when
hidd requests it.

connect from the Linux machine once again. It needs to store the HID
descriptor and authorize the phone first.
