I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and my bluetooth connection used to work
perfect, but then one it just stopped receiving files from my phone.
with the phone saying service not supported.
I am using stock settings with the exception of turning on the ability
to receive file from gnomes BT gui. I can still send files from my
laptop to the phone fine. By right clicking and doing a "send to"
When I boot the Ubuntu 8.04 livecd and turn on receiving files
everything works perfect so it must be some setting on my computer but
I never messed with anything since my dongle "just works"

your xdg-user-dir settings might not be in place. Check the mailing list
