Thanks for the suggestion about the kernel upgrade.

I did run 2.6.22 a while back as I know that boasted the full 2.0 EDR spec support, however I didn't really notice any difference in the performance at all. Is there anything additional I would have to do with the system to get EDR support turned on?

if you don't mess around with hcid.conf or other commands, then EDR is
on by default.
