Subject: [Bluez-users] need a usb dongle to use with FC4 .. any suggestions?

I'm looking for a bluetooth usb dongle that'll work with those operating
systems. I've got a Dell Axim X50v and I want to be able to access the
network with it via a host computer and also sync with the host.
Probably just pick up the dongle at compusa. Anyone spot one on their
site that will work well with linux? Btw, as I'm sure you already know
the hardware compatibility linked in the FAQ was removed by the author
due to legal issues.

Here is a link to compusa's usb bluetooth adapters:

http://tinyurl.com/cltac

appreciate any advice.

-Matt

Hi Matthew,

don't worry about the class. They will work perfect together.

So I just need to determine what my Axim uses? Or do class 1 support
class 2 automatically?

class 1 is long range (~100m)
class 2 is short range (~10m)

most bluetooth devices being used are class 2.
