Does anyone know of any how-to's for rebuilding redhat 2.4.20-30.9smp kernel
with nfs tcp support.

Try:

$ make mrproper oldconfig
Edit the config file to turn on NFS over TCP
$ make bzImage modules

FYI... FC1 has it on by default....
