Subject: [Bug] iwlwifi microcode error

Hi all,

Recently, the network card on my laptop (AX201) started to lose the wifi 3 or 4
times a day. When it happens, the only way I have to reconnect is to restart my
network manager.

I found in dmesg the following:

ieee80211 phy0: Hardware restart was requested

This seems to only happen when I'm connected to a 802.11e capable router and
after my firmware has been upgraded from 20210818-1 to 20221012-1.

Is that a known issue?

It's not a known issue. The firmware crash is related to 802.11ax Target Wake Time (TWT) feature.
Since it's a a firmware crash, I'd like to ask to collect some debug information, so we'd be able
to understand what caused it. In [1] we have directions how to do it. If you you can collect trace-cmd
and firmware dump will be great, but if you can also collect an air-sniffer it'll really help to
get to the root cause. Thanks!
