Subject: [PATCH v20 0/2] wireless: New Driver submission for pureLiFi STA devices

This introduces the pureLiFi LiFi driver for LiFi-X, LiFi-XC
and LiFi-XL USB devices.

LiFi is a mobile wireless technology that uses light
rather than radio frequencies to transmit data.

802.11 bb is focused on introducing necessary changes to
IEEE 802.11 Stds to enable communications in the light medium

---
v20:
- Remove unused static variable
v19:
- Fix kmemdup null case

- Use light communication band
v16:
- Fixed atomic variable misuses
- Fixed comments spacing
- Removed static variables used
- Moved #defines to header file
- Removed doxygen style comments
- Removed magic numbers and cleanup code
v15:
- resubmit v14 of the patch
v14:
- Endianess comments addressed

I have run some static analyzing tools against this driver. Here is my
findings. If you have CI system in house I strongly recommend that you
take these in use. Note that I have included just what might be real
warnings but they might also not be. Please check them.

Thease are just what I found myself.

There is more of these. Please find all of them.

not, but some times there is bug if some function is unused. Please at

Just small style issues in this review.

Does seem little wierd that one variable is __le16. You could change
this u16 because there will not be anymore conversion either way.

Can you please make something for function variables. They seems totally
random. If I am correct net/ and drivers/net want's reverse christmas
tree format.

If this is unlikely make this return;

and delete this else so you get lower indention level.

Should this also have prefix purelifi.

This is not wrapped correctly. Should be like:

/* Data packet lengths must be multiple of four bytes and must
* not be a multiple of 512 bytes. First, it is attempted to
* append the data packet in the tailroom of the skb. In rare
* ocasions, the tailroom is too small. In this case, the

* by memcpy. Headroom is allocated at startup (below in this
* file). Therefore, there will be always enough headroom. The
* call skb_headroom is an additional safety which might be
* dropped.

I notice that Joe has said that you should use memmove in first version.
Just asking if this can overlap. If you are not sure memmove is safer.

You use almoust same thing two times row and it is quite long. Maybe
do new inline function.

Reverse if statment and goto from there. Then no need for else.

bool is nicer if used with true/false.

Seems little confusing that you write sum = 1540 and next line you use
1560.

Reverse if so no else needed.

Just asking why some prefixes are purelifi and some are plfxlc?

Maybe move these below other ieee8011_* structs. Will be muh more
readable. Right now this struct is just big mess to read.

Static here, but I might already tell that in preview message, but here
for safety.

Do need to error paths in this function. Just return when goto out and
you use error just in one place.

Can also be enomem. So maybe return -ENOMEM in upper.
