Subject: [PATCH 07/13 v2] o11s: changes to ieee80211_sta

This includes support for mesh network scanning. The ugly code in
ieee80211_sta_scan_result() is my approach to work around wext. This has been
tested with wireless tools version 29 and works as expected (the new interface
mode is just not shown).

Ok, I didn't realise that it was the same in rx_bss_add(), I'm not too
familiar with the code.

Can you do things as follow-up patches that apply after the sta_info
stuff I sent out today? I'd prefer to not respin the 11s and the
sta_info patches.

I was following the behavior in ieee80211_rx_bss_add(), where the same
thing is done. It is needed to to avoid the bss being freed on the next
ieee80211_rx_bss_put(), works as a reference count. Agree that
atomic_set() would be better.

Ok, will include that too.

Of course, I have to test it first and everything I send from now on
will be on top of that.

?
That was just allocated, shouldn't it just be atomic_set() then? And why
two anyway?

Ok so you're using the ESSID as the mesh ID,

That seems to be parenthesized wrongly?

If you say wireless-tools are fine with this that's great.

Maybe we should add separate items for this to make it easier to parse
them?

Ok, great, thanks. Remember to remove the " && BROKEN" from the Kconfig
before trying to configure it ;) Oh and you should also get sparse and
look into the warnings it generates when you run

make M=net/mac80211 C=2 CHECKFLAGS=-D__CHECK_ENDIAN__

I haven't tracked through them yet but it looks like some endianness
conversions or annotations might be missing.
