Well, for starters the dmesg output before the first spam occurrence
would be good to have a look at. Could you provide that?

Hi,

thanks for your response, I should have sent it to linux-wireless to begin with.
I have attached entire dmesg from boot to successful connect (3.8.2).
I should also add that it's not a distribution kernel but a custom
config (attached)
