Subject: Kernel panic: Loop 1 (aic7xxx under 2.4.13-ac[246])

Hello,

With 2.4.10-ac7 no problems at all, but with 2.4.13-ac[246] (not tested the other
ones), compiled either with gcc-2.96 from Mandrake or gcc-3.02 also from Mandrake,
on the first power on of my computer, ends so:

I have seen this reported before, but have yet to track it down.

to show the error. Hopefully my next code review will unveil the
problem.
