Chuck, Al, anyone else paying attention to "Gregory" or "Tom Collins"
or whatever he's calling himself -- I'll repeat what I posted to
debian-user, but this is quite apparently a sockpuppet, either
engaging in recreational trolling, or trying very hard to make it
impossible to discuss systemd with any semblance of rationally.

It seems to be hard enough for the more avid of both the proponents
and opponents to be rational as it is, let's try not to get sucked
into this kind of baiting. (Speaking as one who got a little bit
sucked into it last week or so.)

Just because you disagree with something does not make it a troll.
Just because someone continued to post to a mailing list which he
was unrightly banned from (because systemd negativity is a no-no
for some), does not mean the message is for trolling.

Trying to suck up or find common ground with the systemd people
will fail.

Not everybody on lkml likes systemd (I certainly don't), but I
think almost everyone will agree with Joel, and many will agree with
Al.

For those of us trying to follow what is going on _in_the_kernel_,
this list is already noisy enough. My 'killfile' just gained a new
entry.

I don't know which side you're on.

All I know is that with all the shock treatment from the noisiest part
of the supposedly anti-crowd and the arrogance, lies, petulance,
pretense, and other primadonna behavior that business-types seem to
like from the pro-crowd, good engineering practices are being thrown
overboard.

Your poisoning the conversation does not help promote good
engineering, that should be obvious. So I tend to think you are a
sock-puppet of the pro-crowd, maybe even Sievers or Poettering posting
under an alias.

Believe whatever you want.

No one seems to give a damn about good engineering practices, if they did there
would be no debate at all. KISS is a very simple principal, systemd obviously
violates it at the most basic level.

All the arguments from the systemd crowd are appeals to authority,
appeals to popularity
(false popularity I might add), and emotional appeals.

When that doesnt don't work, well... ban (application of authority)

The systemd people are winning.
You know why.

Because bullshit walks.
$$$$$(<-even linus likes those)

Nothing's going to overcome that.

Linux has suffered the equivalent of regulatory capture, and Linus
himself is bought.

You are overcomplicating it. More likely s/h/it doesn't give a flying fuck
about the outcome, provided that its worthless self gets attention along
the way...

On the off-chance that original poster might someday have a point on something:
a) You are not Luis Bu?uel. You are not even Ed Wood.
b) If plain text isn't convincing, throwing video and audio into the
mix won't improve it.
c) If you can't get through that without rambling, write it down and
trim the crap out. On related note, if you are recording something and feel
that you need to take a good dump, put the recording on pause. Rationale: (a).

I'm not sure if we are speaking the same language.
In my language a metal bar chair is a bar stool with a back that is
made from metal,
usually steel.

I guess it's something else in san-francisco. Don't really want to know.

Go and fuck yourself.

You're a weak piece of shit if words of derision pull you from a goal.
If your community is affected by being "associated" with someone
they don't like arguing in the same direction that they are
then they are a bunch of women and faggots.

But we knew that since 2006 when you all folded to the distro-women
groups that took up residency, no? You curtsied and kicked out
any man they told you to kick out, because they were not
"respectful" of the womyn. Fuck you and yours you damned piece of
worthless fucking trash.

Hmm... You just might be a systemd advocate, after all. I still doubt
it - you sound more like a general-purpose teenage wanker, but...

Interesting, seeing that I'm not respectful of anything and never hid that...

Learn to swear, kid. This is simply pathetic. And try to realize that
the word "fuck" won't impress anyone but teenagers. Neither will "women"
or "faggots".
