Subject: [PATCH v8 1/5] arm64: dts: qcom: sc7180: Add wormdingler dts files

Wormdingler is a trogdor-based board, shipping to customers as the
Lenovo IdeaPad Chromebook Duet 3. These dts files are copies from
the downstream Chrome OS 5.4 kernel, but with the camera
(sc7180-trogdor-mipi-camera.dtsi) #include removed.

Subject: [PATCH v8 3/5] arm64: dts: qcom: sc7180: Add mrbland dts files

Mrbland is a trogdor-based board. These dts files are copies from
the downstream Chrome OS 5.4 kernel, but with downstream bits removed.

Changes in v7:
- Incorporated changes from Stephen's "Simplify!" series.

Changes in v5:
- Replaced _ in node name with -
- Ordered nodes by name
- Added comment that compatible will be filled in per-board

Changes in v4:
- Added missing version history

Changes in v2:
- Word wrapped patch description.
- Removed "Author" from patch description.
- Fixed whitespace around "en_pp3300_dx_edp"

Subject: [PATCH v8 5/5] arm64: dts: qcom: sc7180: Add kingoftown dts files

Kingoftown is a trogdor-based board. These dts files are unchanged copies
from the downstream Chrome OS 5.4 kernel.

(no changes since v7)

Changes in v7:
- Incorporated changes from Stephen's "Simplify!" series.

Changes in v4:
- Fixed description (no downstream bits removed).
- Added missing version history.

Changes in v2:
- First inclusion in series.

Something in this patch series you need to talk about how you relate
to Stephen's two patches, AKA

1. https://lore.kernel.org/all/[email protected]/
- arm64: dts: qcom: Remove duplicate sc7180-trogdor include on
lazor/homestar

2. https://lore.kernel.org/all/[email protected]/
- arm64: dts: qcom: sc7180-trogdor: Split out keyboard node and
describe detachables

Probably that should be in a cover letter. At the moment, it looks as
if you are assuming that patch #1 is there but you're assuming patch
#2 _isn't_ there. Is that correct?

At this point enough things keep being broken that I'd rather you keep
my "Reviewed-by" tag off for now in the next version.

Not a huge deal, but your version history is missing a mention about
incorporating the deletion of the usb_c1 node.

You missed an important bit here. Pazquel has a trackpad, doesn't it?
In the "Simplify!" series Stephen made it so that devices that have a
trackpad need to enable it, right?

This is not good and was an important part of "Simplify!" sc7180.dtsi
should only be included by sc7180-trogdor.dtsi.

You seem to be missing the recent downstream changes here.

semtech,input-analog-gain = <0>;
semtech,cs-idle-sleep = "gnd";

You had this right in one of your two v6 series. Not sure why you keep
regressing random things each version...

I'm not doing a detailed review, but many of the same comments from
the pazquel review apply here as well.

There was a v6 a second ago, now it is v8... It's confusing. Don't send
too often, especially without incorporating actual review.

You need to document the compatibles. Please base on Doug's patches
adding the compatibles for existing boards.

I think the problem was that the v6 sent a second ago was supposed to
be v7 but Joe forgot to increment the version number so there are two
v6 sets. I guess he decided to just send a v8 out to fix things...

I think all of the compatibles here are documented by my series, but
that could be mentioned in the cover letter that I've asked Joe to
write for v9. Basically point to:

Yes, that's correct, and I'll note that in the cover letter.
