Subject: Notebook does not resume from hibernation

Hi all

Sorry for reporting by mail. I do not know how else.

Notebook "HP Pavilion g6", GPT, LVM, UEFI, Secure boot

Linux mint 17.1 64 rebecca, up to date
After installing kernel "4.0.4-040004-generic #201505171336 SMP Sun May
17 17:37:22 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux" the Notebook goes
to hibernation as expected but does does not resume from. After pressing
power button it goes to command line telling something like "...resuming
from disk...." disapearing view moments later (black screen, no
keyboard). Nothing more happening.

Clean restart however working as expected by cycling power off and on
(pressing power button).

Kind regards
Markus

I just verified:

3.19.0-18 does resume as well from "Bereitschaft" (probably standby) as
from "Ruhezustand" (hibernation).

4.0.4-040004 does resume from standby but not from hibernation.

Ok, can you unload the Realtek/Ralink stuff and try hibernation?
Otherwise its Intel graphics, pretty boring stuff.

Is bisect an option?

I don't know whats going on.

One time it seemed to run as expected. But I could not reproduce. Maybe
i missed something.

unloading

rt2800pci
rt2800mmio
rt2800lib
rt2x00pci
rt2x00mmio
rt2x00lib
r8169

does not change anything.

I'm probably not familiar enough with linux to bisect, sorry.

Kind regards
Markus
