I have Kernel 2.6.11-mh2 and Bluez 2.17. I'm quite sure the problem was
also there with 2.16, but as I mentioned, it's gone with the other
headset.

Guys,

I created a bug report for this one ([ 1213784 ] noisy sco recordings).

It would be good to know what kernel version and bluez-libs versions you
guys are having the problem with and if it's persisting between
versions. Email me and I'll keep the bug report up to date.

I've had the same problem with my B-Speech Elect Headset. I've recently
swapped it with an old Plantronics M1000, which seems to work fine so far.
There were other issues, such as reconnection problems with keyboard and
mouse, when the B-Speech headset was in use. I suspect some kind of
incompatibility between the BT dongles and the headsets..

George,

Just a quick note to let you know I looked over it. Everything looks
fine. I do not know what is happening.

Are you saying the entire recording is bad if it starts out that way?
it's not transient like interference?

Brad
